SBF Group (SBFG3) sold NWB, which owns the Clear and Accelerated channels, to the Ola Sports Group. The X3M brand, known for organizing sports events, was also part of the sale.

The SBF Group announced the operation before the market opened as part of its strategy to streamline its portfolio and concentrate on Nike’s Centauro and Fisia distributor brands in Brazil.

The New House: Ola Sports Group

The Ola Sports Group is a company created by On The Nose, a content agency owned by André Barros, who founded Desimpedidos in 2013 prior to its acquisition by the SBF Group.

The Ola Group, as a channel partner of N Sports, has obtained the broadcasting rights for the Brazilian Championship Series B, positioning the group as a key sports content provider in Brazil.

The company intends to invest in new projects and rearrange the NWB channels’ content. This process will be centralized at N Sports headquarters in southern São Paulo.

History and Market Response

The SBF Group purchased NWB in 2020 for R$ 60 million, and the exact amount of the transaction has not been revealed.

The stock market had a favorable effect on sales, as SBF’s shares increased by 0.85% to reach R$ 13.11. Throughout the year, the stocks have seen a rise of 23.2%, with a market value of R$ 3.2 billion.
